The girls basketball team lost Friday afternoon's opener at Springfield to Central Bucks South 48-42. The team played hard and never quit in trying to overcome a 7 point deficit with just over 3 minutes to play. Trailing 43-42 with 1 minute and 24 seconds remaining, the Indians could not convert a late field goal and had to resort to fouling. Alison Lewis contributed 15 points while Senior Co-Captain Cami Redfern netted 13. Two Indian starters fouled out. Central Bucks South would eventually win the Tournament, defeating Springfield 49-36.
In the consolation game, The Indians dominated Penn Wood in a 56-17 victory. Senior Co-Captain Sydney Hughes led the team with 14 Points and 7 seven steals. Sophomore Alison Lewis had 12 points. 10 Indians scored in the game including Seniors Cami Redfern and Janice Hauck who both scored 7 points. The team shot 15-18 from the foul line.
Next up is a road game at Henderson on Tuesday night with JV action at 6pm followed by the Varsity game at 7:30pm.
