110-81. The Indians had two double winners: Freshman Katie Garvey in the
100 free and 100 back and senior Emma Werkiser in the 200 Individual
Medley and 100 butterfly. District qualifiers include: McKayla Mawn in
diving, Emma Werkiser in the 100 butterfly and the 200 Individual Medley,
Cyndi Kline in the 500 freestyle, Laura Barthold in the 500 freestyle, and
Christina Tascione in the 100 breaststroke. Molly Wentz, Erin Himes, and
Katie Johnson had strong swims for the Indians as well. The girls have
their next meet this Friday afternoon against Garnet Valley.
The UHS Boys Swimming & Diving Team lost to a tough Malvern Prep team on
Friday afternoon 70-110. Freshmen Greg Buckley qualified for Districts in
his two individual events, the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, sophomore
Tommy Ferre qualified for Districts in the 100 butterfly as well as
sophomore Chris Barthold in the 500 freestyle. Ben Porter and Jason
Smiddy turned in great swims for the Indians as well. The boys are back
in action this Friday afternoon against Garnet Valley.
