Unionville vs. Chichester- varsity results

The Unionville Varsity Boys Basketball team beat Chichester by a score of 59-31.  Scottie Miller led the Indians with 14 points.  Brendan Barrett and Zeb Martelli each had 11 points in the victory.  Sean Rafferty posted 10 points and was a force on the glass.  Andrew Burich provided excellent defense for the Indians in the win.   Unionville plays at Glen Mills  on Tuesday, January 3 at 3:30 PM.

The Unionville Lady Indians won a tough game against Pope John Paul tonight by a score of 37-34. Leading the way for the Indians was Grace Schrof with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Maddie Shanahan with 9 points and 14 rebounds. Sophia Detweiler added 6 points and Sarah Covert chipped in with 5 points. The Indians have won 5 straight and are now 5-2 overall.

Unionville Girls Basketball

The 4-2 Unionville Lady Indians won their first Holiday game against a scrappy Pottsgrove team by a score of 48-31.  Leading the way for the Indians was Maddie Shanahan pouring in 15 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.  Grace Schrof added 9 points, Olivia Budow had 8 points and Sophia Detweiler had 7 points. Hounding the Pottsgrove ball handlers were Sarah Covert and Sam Ciccarelli.  Great job ladies!!  The next game is Wednesday at 6:00pm against Pope John Paul.

Unionville vs Chester Charter of the Arts

Unionville won their first round game vs Chester Charter of the Arts 83-44.  Scottie Miller led the Indians with 22 points.  Andrew Burich chipped in 9 points, including a highlight reel dunk in the 2nd half. The Indians host Chichester tomorrow night at 7:30

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey
The team beat West Chester Rustin last Friday night with a final score of 12-2.  Goals were made by Hannah Close, Claire Donovan, Madison Doucette, Kaelen Speck, Madison Miles, Lizzy Gaebel and Mia Impagliazzo.  Assists were given from Katie Anderson, Claire Donvan, Lizzy Gaebel, Madison Miles, Kaelen Speck, Madison Doucette and Mia Impagliazzo.  The team will head back to the ice after the winter break on Friday, January 6.  They will take on Lansdale Catholic at 7:50 in Hatfield. 

 





JV boys basketball results- Octorara



Unionville Boys JV improved to 5-0 with a 61-23 win over Octorara.  The Indians were led by Rorke Dillon with 9, Drew Lenkaitis with 8 and Andrew Thorton with 7 points.

Boys Varsity Basketball Results- at Octorara

The Varsity Boys Basketball team lost their division matchup to Octorara on Tuesday night 74-62.  Leading scorers for the Indians were Brendan Barrett with 18, Andrew Burich with 16 and Sean Rafferty  with 11.  The Indians are now 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the American division.  Unionville's next game is December 27 vs Chester Charter school for the Arts at 7:30

Varsity Boys Ice Hockey

The varsity boys ice hockey team defeated Downingtown West last night by a score of 6 to 5. Joey Impagliazzo scored 3 goals and Tait Mott, Ben Brucker and Jack McKenna each added a goal in the game. Assists were made by Joey Impagliazzo, Jack McKenna, Ben Brucker, Curtis Jones and Josh Wilkins. Strong defensive efforts from Cade Lenkaitis and Paul Malone helped secure the win. Goalie Ben Basilio made 29 saves in net. The team's next game is at 9:15 pm on Friday, December 23rd against West Chester East at Iceline. See U at the rink!!

indoor track and field update

Madison McGovern and Anna Juul traveled to New York City on Saturday to compete in the first Millrose Mile qualifier.   Madison medaled with an 8th place finish.  Harvard bound Anna Juul not only won the race by 8 seconds with a time of 4:52.24, but set a new meet record, broke her own school record and currently has the #1 time in the nation this indoor season.  Anna will represent Unionville at the Millrose games on February 11th.

Varsity Boys Basketball results- vs WC East

The Unionville Varsity Boys basketball team lost to West Chester East 62-60.   The Indians battled back from a 14 point deficit in the 3rd quarter, but the comeback fell short.   Bo Furey- Bastian led the Indians with 24 points.  Brendan Barrett had 14 points and Sean Rafferty had 10 points.. The Indians take on Octorara on Tuesday night (December 20).

Indoor T+F update

The Indoor track and field season opened up on Wednesday at Ursinus University.  The girls team was led by Veronica Hineman's 2nd place finish in the 400 meter run.  The boys team was led by strong performances from Matt Biederman and Brett Wagner.  The team will compete again on January 10th at the Chester County Indoor Championship meet.

The varsity boys ice hockey team went 1 and 1 this past weekend. On Friday night, the team defeated Henderson by a score of 8-3. Goals were scored by Jack McKenna, Aiden Masters, Tait Mott, Tyler Glennon and Joey Impagliazzo. Assists were made by Danny Brucker, Paul Malone, Tait Mott, Aiden Masters, Curtis Jones, Joey Impagliazzo and Jack McKenna. On Monday night, the team lost 3 to 1 to Avon Grove.The players would like to thank all of the students and fans who came out to support their Unite for Her event. Their next game is Friday, December 16th against Downingtown West. The puck drops at Iceline at 7:30 pm!

Unionville lost to Garnet Valley on Saturday night by a score of 83-62.  Bo Furey Bastian led the Indians with 12 points.  Scottie Miller contributed 9 points.  The Indians return to action tomorrow night vs. West Chester Henderson.

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey
The team had a great win against Strath Haven on Friday night at the club's Unite for Her games.  They beat Strath Haven 6-1, outshot them 50-10 and took first place in the standings as the only undefeated team.  Claire Donovan had two goals and one assist. Kaelen Speck and one goal and two assists.  Jordan Hower, Katie Anderson and Lizzy Gaebel each added a goal.  Assists were give from Allie Ward, Madison Doucette and Hannah Close.  Thanks to all the fans who supported the hockey club at the bake sale and games last Friday.  The girls head back to the ice on Friday, December 16 to take on WC Rustin at the Barn at Upland Country Day School.  The puck drops at 6:45.  Hope to see U at the rink!

Unionville vs Downingtown East Boys Score

Downingtown East defeated Unionville 68-61.  Downingtown East was led my Malik Slay who had 27 points, 20 in the 2nd half.  Unionville was led by Bo Furey-Bastian who had 21.  Scottie Miller contributed 17 points and Andrew Burich had 12.

Varsity Ice Hockey Unites for Her

Just a reminder that the varsity ice hockey teams Unite for Her event is this Friday night at Iceline. The varsity girls take on Strath Haven at 5:55 pm and the varsity boys face off against Henderson at 6:50 pm. The teams will be selling t-shirts and baked goods during lunch on Friday as well as at the rink. Come on out to support 2 great teams and 1 great cause!!

The girls ice hockey team had another successful night on the ice on Monday.  They beat West Chester East 11-4, with four goals from Madison Doucette, two goals each from Katie Anderson, Jordan Hower and Kaelen Speck and one goal from Claire Donovan.  Assists were given by Kaelen Speck, Jordan Hower, Madison Doucette, Claire Donovan and Katie Anderson.  Defense played a strong game.  Friday, December 9 will be the UHS ice hockey club's Unite for Her pink games at Ice Line.  The club will hold a bake sale and t-shirt sale on Friday at UHS during the lunch periods.  Then the girls will take on Strath Haven at 5:55 PM and boys varsity plays at 6:50 PM.  There will also be a bake sale table, Unite for Her t-shirt sales and a chuck-a-puck 5/50 raffle during each game.  Come out to support the teams and Unite for Her on Friday!

The girls ice hockey team will take on two strong opponents this week.  On Monday, December 5 they will face off with West Chester East at 9:15 PM at Ice Line.  Friday, December 9 will be the UHS hockey club's Unite for Her pink games at Ice Line.  The girls take on Strath Haven at 5:55 PM and boys varsity plays at 6:50 PM.  There will be a bake sale table, Unite for Her t-shirt sales and a chuck-a-puck 5/50 raffle during each game.  There will also be a baked goods and t-shirt sale on Friday at UHS during the lunch periods.  Hope to see U at the rink and wear pink on Friday!
