9th grade baseball results



Stellar outfield play by Keegan Craig, Ben Cicarelli, and Luke Folmar highlighted the 9th grade baseball team's 10-2 win over Sun Valley. The Indians scored 7 runs in the 6th inning to put the game out of reach. Starting pitcher Blake Charlton and reliever Michael Walter-Dillon held the Vanguards to just two hits. Dylan Blackburn, Folmar, and Cicciarelli all had two hits and 2 runs batted in; Walter-Dillon reached base four times and plated two runs; and Drew D'Angelo doubled in two runs. The team's next game is Tuesday at Coatesville.

UHS boys varsity lacrosse

The UHS boys varsity lacrosse team was defeated by Downingtown East 12-6 Thursday night. 
UHS was led by Garett Rogers in the face off circle winning 10 or 14. Gerry Ulatowski led UHS in scoring with 2 goals. Jack Hoopman, Zach Lawrence, Aegean Cuylan, Andrew Eginton added 1 goal each.
The boys varsity will host Owen J Roberts Saturday 4/1.

Unionville vs. Avon Grove Men's Volleyball Results 3/30/17

The Unionville Indians Men's Volleyball Team lost to Avon Grove Thursday in three sets 15-25, 23-25, and 19-25. The Indians were led by strong play from Scottie Miller, Michael Evans, and Andrew Choffo.

Unionville Boys JV Lacrosse fell to Downingtown East 7-5 in a game that was close through the 4th quarter. Goals came from Sam Schriver with 3, Chris Garrison with 1, and Brennin Glackin with 1. The Boy's take the field again on Saturday at 11am in their home opener against Owen J Roberts.

Unionville - 10 W.C. Rustin - 1

The Unionville varsity baseball team goes to 2-0 with a big win over Rustin by a score of 10-1. Nick Samulewicz pitched a complete game giving up only 4 hits and 1 run. Spencer Pellegrino hit a solo home run and Theron Schilling went 3-4 with a double. The Indians played stellar defense behind Samulewicz led by Brady Horne and Jason Moore. Our next game is tomorrow at home vs. Kennett.

JV Baseball

JV baseball defeated Rustin 3-2 on Thursday; pitchers Kyle Lyons and Taylor Bohn combined to pitch a three hitter. DeNucci, Pelegrin, Ahart and Bohn provided timely hitting. Next game is home Friday vs. Kennett.

Unionville Varsity Softball vs Rustin

Unionville softball lost to Rustin Thursday evening by a score of 13-2. The offense came alive when Anna DeShaies singled in the fourth. Amanda Panati then hit and RBI triple scoring DeShaies. Alex Harris singled to score Panati.

track and field update

The track and field teams went 1 - 1 to open their league meet season yesterday.

The boys team was led by sprinter  Brett Wagner who won both the 400 and 200 meter races.

The girls team was led by outstanding efforts from Jillian Brislin, Mikayla Bucci, Lyndsay Hastings and Grace Schrof.  Grace also delivered the first district performance of the season for the Indians with a javelin throw of 104 feet.

The teams will compete again next Wednesday at home.

UHS - 4 Coatesville - 3

The Indian varsity baseball team went into Coatesville and came away with a 4-3 win under the lights. Brady Horne pitched 5 strong innings for the win and Noah Kirkland came in and closed out the last 2 innings for the save. Theron Schilling went 2-4. Our next game is a home game against W.C. Rustin.

JV Baseball

JV Baseball defeated Coatesville on Wednesday by a score of 4-1; outstanding pitching by Peter Kuharchuk, Sam Biddle and Stevie DiNucci held Coatesville in check. Next game is home Thursday vs. Rustin.

Unionville lost to Coatesville Wednesday evening 25-0. Unionville's offence was led by Mel Hammond with a single and stolen base.

Men's Volleyball Unionville vs. Glen Mills

The Unionville Men's Volleyball Team beat Glen Mills Tuesday after school in three sets 25-12, 25-19, and 25-19. The Unionville team was led by strong play from Michael Evans, Andrew Choffo, and Shane O'Leary. 

UHS boys lacrosse score

The UHS boys lacrosse team earned an 8-7 win in its season opener with Penncrest. Jack Hoopman and Zach Lawrence led the way in scoring with  3 goals each. Owen Rogers had 16 saves and Garett Rogers was 13 of 16 in face offs. Gerry Ulatowski, Andrew Eginton, Aegean Cuylan had assists and Drew Lenkaitis added 1 goal.

T+F update

On Saturday the track and field team opened their season at the Upper Darby Relays.

The girls  team won the DMR and the team of Mia Prantil, Sophie Schenk, Lyndsay Hastings and Mikayla Bucci broke a 14 year old school record in the 4 x 200 meter relay.

The boys team was led by the medaling duo of Erik Lapszynski and Kyle Garvey,

Both teams open their league meet season on Wednesday at home -- get your tickets early.

Garnet Valley-12 Unionville - 2

Unionville Varsity baseball lost their non-league season opener by a score of 12-2 to Garnet Valley.  Theron Schilling was 1-2 with an RBI and Brady Horne was 1-1 with a walk and a run scored.
Our league home opener is scheduled for Monday at 4pm vs. W.C. Rustin

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey
Congratulations to the girls varsity team for winning the Flyers Cup on Friday night!  They had an undefeated season going 21-0 and won both the league and Flyers Cup championships.  They faced West Chester East in the final game and dominated the ice all night, winning by a score of 9-2. Goals were made by Madison Doucette, Jordan Hower, Claire Donovan and Katie Anderson.  Assists were given from Jordan Hower, Madison Doucette, Hannah Close, Mia Impagliazzo, Claire Donovan, Anna Nolan and Kaelen Speck.  They team played strong all season and worked hard to keep their championship titles!

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey
The girls were no match for Downingtown East in the semi-final game of the 2017 Flyers Cup on Thursday night.  With a great team effort and a shut out for Mackenzie Myers, the girls finished the night with a 9-0 victory. Goals were scored by Claire Donovan, Madison Doucette, Katie Anderson and Kaelen Speck.  Assists came from Hannah Close, Madison Doucette, Katie Anderson, Jordan Hower, Kaelen Speck and Claire Donovan. The team plays in the championship game on Friday, March 17 at 8:30 at Ice Line.  Head out to the rink to cheer the girls on to bring home the Flyers Cup again!

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey
Congratulations to the girls for winning the ICSHL League Championship on Thursday, March 9 with a 19-0 record and bringing home the trophy again! It was a close game all night and the girls persevered with skilled teamwork to finish with a 3-2 victory over Downingtown West. Mackenzie Myers had a great game in goal and stopped 22 shots on net. Goals were scored by Kaelen Speck, Madison Doucette and Katie Anderson.  Assists came from Madison Doucette, Hannah Close and Allie Ward.  The girls head back to Ice Line on Thursday, March 16 at 6:30 for the semi-final game of the Flyers Cup. Come out to support them on their run at bringing home the Flyers Cup!

Varsity Boys Ice Hockey

The varsity boys ice hockey team won their first game of the Flyers Cup last night, defeating Palmyra by a score of 6 to 4. Goals were scored by Joey Impagliazzo, Jamie Wenzel, Ben Brucker and Jack McKenna. Assists were made by Tyler Glennon and Aiden Masters. Goalie Ben Basilio played a solid game in net and was assisted by outstanding effort from the defensive unit. The team's next game is tonight (Thursday) at Iceline at 8:30 pm. Come out to support the team as they face off against 3 time defending state champion, Rustin. Hope to see U at the rink!

It was another 11-1 victory for the team on Wednesday night when they defeated West Chester East in the semi-final round of the league playoffs. The puck was put in the net with shots from Katie Anderson, Kaelen Speck, Madison Doucette, Jordan Hower, Hannah Close, Claire Donovan and Maidson Miles.  Assists came from Anna Nolan, Claire Donovan, Jordan Hower, Madison Doucette, Allie Ward, Kaelen Speck, Katie Anderson and Sierra Dycio.  The girls are back on the ice Thursday, March 9 at 7:45 at Ice Line to defeat Downingtown West and bring home the champions trophy again!

The 10 goal mercy rule came into play again Friday night when the girls defeated Lansdale Catholic 11-1 in the first round of league playoffs.  Goals were scored by Madison Doucette, Katie Anderson, Jordan Hower, Claire Donovan and Madison Miles.  Assists were give from Jordan Hower, Madison Miles, Allie Ward, Mia Impagliazzo, Katie Anderson, Hannah Close, Claire Donovan and Madison Doucette.  Defense provided a strong front and limited Lansdale to seven shots on goal.   The girls will take on West Chester East on Wednesday, March 8 at 6:30 at Ice Line in the semi-final round of the league playoffs.  See U at the rink!
