Varsity Boys Ice Hockey

The varsity boys ice hockey team defeated Great Valley by a score of 12 to 2. Goals were scored by Tyler Glennon, Joey Impagliazzo, Aiden Masters and Curtis Jones. Assists were made by Michael Hochaus, Jack McKenna, Cade Lenkaitis, Tait Mott and Ben Brucker. Goalie Brandon Terrey made 20 saves for the win. The team's next game will be Friday, December 9th against Henderson at 6:50 pm. This game will be the ice hockey Unite for Her night. Be on the lookout for t-shirt sales and baked good sales next week!

On Saturday senior Anna Juul placed 2nd in the 8 state Northeast regional race in Bowdoin Park NY to qualify for this Saturday's National Championship Race in Portland Oregon.  Sophomore Madison McGovern finished 31st to end a terrific sophomore cross-country season.

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey

The girls ice hockey team beat Radnor on Monday, November 21 by a score of 8-1.  Claire Donovan had two goals and three assists.  Madison Doucette had two goals and one assist. Katie Anderson had one goal and two assists.  Jordan Hower had one goal and one assist.  Hannah Close and Kaelen Speck each had one goal.  Sierra Dycio and Madison Miles each had two assists.  Lizzie Gaebel and Mia Impagliazzo each had one assist.  The girls head back to the ice on Monday, December 5 at 9:15 PM when they take on West Chester East at Ice Line.  See U at the rink!

The varsity boys ice hockey team defeated Boyertown last night by a score of 10 to 1. Joey Impagliazzo and Tyler Glennon each scored 3 goals, Aiden Masters scored twice and Jack McKenna and Jamie Wenzel each added a goal. Assists were made by Jack McKenna, Josh Wilkins, Paul Malone, Aiden Masters, Oscar Daum, Tait Mott, Joey Impagliazzo and Dan Thorley. The team takes on Rustin on this Wednesday night at Iceline at 8:30 pm. See U at the rink!

JV Boys Ice Hockey

The JV boys ice hockey team tied West Chester East 4 to 4 on Friday night. Goals were scored by Bryce Halsey, Jake Petrillo, Tait Mott and Ben Brucker. Assists were made by Tait Mott, Phillip Doucette and Dan Thorley. The team's next game is on December 3rd at 10:15 pm against Downingtown West.

Varsity Boys Ice Hockey

With strong support from our student section, the varsity boys ice hockey team defeated Kennett on Friday night by a score of 12 to 3. Tyler Glennon scored 4 goals, Joey Impagliazzo scored 3 goals and Ben Brucker, Cole Spano, Jack McKenna, Aiden Masters and Tait Mott each added a goal. Assist were made by Paul Malone, Cade Lenkaitis, Tait Mott, Joey Impagliazzo, Ben Brucker, Aiden Masters, Tyler Glennon and Jack McKenna. Goalies Ben Basilio and Brandon Terrey each faced 12 shots in the contest. The team has 2 games this week. The first one is on Monday night against Boyertown at Iceline at 7:30 pm. The second game is on Wednesday night against Rustin at Iceline at 8:30 pm. See U at the rink!

The girls ice hockey team defeated Downingtown East HS on Monday, November 14 by outscoring them 11-3.   Kaelen Speck had four goals and two assists.  Madison Doucette had two goals and four assists.  Jordan Hower had two goals and two assists.  Sierra Dycio had four assists.  Katie Anderson had one goal and two assists.  Claire Donovan had one goal and one assist.  Hannah Close had one goal.   Anna Nolan had one assist.   The girls will face off against Radnor HS on Monday, November 21 at 6:10 PM at Ice Line.  See U at the rink!

Just a reminder that both boys ice hockey teams are back in action Friday night! Come out to Iceline at 8:30 pm as the varsity team faces off against Kennett. The jv team takes to the ice against West Chester East at 10:15 pm. See U at the rink!

JV Boys Ice Hockey

The jv boys ice hockey team lost its game to Downingtown West on Friday night 5 to 1. Cole Spano scored Unionville's goal on a power play assisted by Patrick Taiwo. Goalie Brandon Terrey made 34 saves in net. The team's next game is Friday night at Iceline at 10:15 pm when they will take on West Chester East. See U at the rink!

The Varsity Boys ice hockey team lost its game on Friday night to Malvern Prep by a score of 7 to 2. Unionville goals were scored by Ben Brucker and Joey Impagliazzo. Assists were made by Jack McKenna, Phillip Doucette, Joey Impagliazzo and Ben Brucker. Goalie Ben Basilio made 29 saves in net. The team's next game against St. Joe's Prep is Monday (11/14) at 9:45 pm at Skatium. Also, a reminder that the team takes on Kennett this Friday, November 18th at 8:30 pm at Iceline. The varsity and jv boys hockey teams take to the ice on Friday night at Iceline. The jv team faces off against Downingtown West at 5:45 while the Varsity Boys team takes on Malvern Prep at 7:30 pm. See U at the rink!

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey

The girls ice hockey team is now 3-0 after their win against Avon Grove HS on Monday, November 7.   They defeated Avon Grove in the first 14 seconds of the third period under the ten goal mercy rule with a final score of 11-1.  Jordan Hower scored four goals.  Madison Doucette had three goals and one assist.  Kaelen Speck had two goals.  Claire Donovan had one goal and one assist.  Lizzy Gaebel had one goal.   Allie Ward provided three assists and Anna Nolan and Madison Miles each had one assist.   The team will head back to center ice on Monday, November 14 at 8:50 PM when they take on Downingtown East at Ice Line. Hope to see U at the rink!

 

Unionville verses State College High

Unionville beat State College High School in the first round of state playoffs. Katie Anderson had 2 goals and made 2 assists. Annie McDonough scored 2 goals. Claire Donovan scored 1 goal and made 1 assist. Madison Miles made 2 assists. Lizzie Gaebel made 2 saves in goal. Unionville advances to the quarter finals of state playoffs and will play on Saturday.

The cross-country program finished their season on Saturday with an impressive showing at the state meet.  Sophomore James Conway finished 64th, representing the highest finish from a sophomore boy in over a decade at Unionville.  The girls team finished 6th, representing their 6th consecutive top 10 finish and their 11th top 10 finish in the last 14 years in the large school classification.  Anna Juul and Madison McGovern both medaled individually.

The girls ice hockey team defeated Owen J Roberts HS in their game on October 28 with a score of 6-3.  Madison Miles and Lizzie Gaebel each scored two goals.  Katie Anderson and Hannah Close each scored one goal and both players had two assists.  Assists were also given by Allie Ward and Mia Impagliazzo.  The team will take on Avon Grove HS on Monday, November 7 at 7:20 PM at the Pond in Newark, DE.  See U at the rink!
 

Unionville verses CB West

Unionville lost to CB West in double overtime with a score of 4 to 3. Lauren Newbrough, Madison Miles, and Claire Donovan scored 1 goal. Katie Anderson, Annie McDonough and Madison McDonough had one assist. Lizzie Gaebel made 7 saves in goal. Unionville will play on Friday for district seeding before heading to state playoffs.
