9.10 JV girls soccer

The JV girls soccer team took to the field in 90 degree heat on Saturday to battle visiting Pennsbury.  The team was off to a slow start during the weekend match going down 0-2 in the first ten minutes.  The first half would end with the visitors scoring two more goals.

But Unionville demonstrated great heart in the second half as game MVP Makayla Bucci led the offensive charge.  Using her speed to beat the Pennsbury defense, she crossed to the ball to crashing forwards Syd Stipa and Jenny Keglovits.  Keglovits would fight for the loose ball in the box to put it away for the point.  Although the game ended in a 1-5 loss, the team showed improvement and resilience during the course of the game.  The Indians will rest and regroup for a rivalry match against Kennett on Monday evening.
