UHS boys varsity lacrosse

The UHS boys varsity lacrosse team lost to Haverford 17-4
UHS got 1 goal each from Zach Lawrence, Jack Hoopman, Drew Lenkaitis and John Quillman.
Unionville will travel to W.C. Rustin on Tuesday evening.

JV Baseball

JV baseball team defeated Rustin on Friday 7-2; Taylor Bohn, Stevie DeNucci and Peter Kuharczuk pitched a combined 5 hitter while Conner Schilling's defense in center field was outstanding. Key hits be Schilling, Bohn and Austin Ahart keyed the 7th inning rally. Next game is at Kennett on Monday.

Unionville vs Rustin Softball



Unionville defeated Rustin 11-4. Taylor Crittenden threw all 7 innings and only gave up 7 hits. Alexandra Harris, Anna Deshaies, and Olivia Hojnacki each had 2 RBIs.

Varsity Baseball

The varsity baseball team moved into first place with a 7-3 win over W.C. Rustin. Joe Love picked up the win on the mound, throwing 3 innings of shut out baseball.
Brady Horne went 3-3 with a walk 2 singles and a big 3 run home run in the 7th. Spencer Pellegrino went 2-2, Joe Zubillaga went 2-3 with a double. Brendan Barrett played outstanding defense in centerfield. Our next game is Monday night at 7pm vs. Kennett at the NVF field.

The Unionville Men's Volleyball Team was defeated by Christopher Dock in three sets 15-25, 14-25, and 30-32. The Unionville team put up a good fight with strong play from Michael Evans, Scottie Miller, and Blake Greenspan.

Please congratulate the Unionville Boys tennis team for completing an undefeated season in the Chesmont league by defeating Downingtown West by a score of 7-0. This is the second year in a row that Unionville has gone 13-0 in the Chesmont league.
They have 2 district matches next Monday and Tuesday to wrap up their season. Monday is at home vs Pennsbury and Tuesday is at home vs Council Rock North.
On Friday, 2 players will compete in the District 1 singles tourney: Tristan Bradley and Ethan Bradley

9th Grade Baseball results May 27

In freshman baseball news, Michael Walter-Dillon pitched a 2-hit, no walks, complete game shutout as the Indians defeated Rustin, 3-0. Dylan Blackburn called an excellent game and was a rock behind the plate. He led the team offensively with 4 hits. Drew D'Angelo made some outstanding plays in foul territory at first base and contributed 3 hits. And Kenny Sammut was perfect on the basepaths. The team's next game is Tuesday at home against Downingtown West.

Unionville vs Sun Valley Softball


Unionville lost to Sun Valley 9-8 in extra innings. Unionville was down 8-0 going into the 5th inning. Mel Hammond hit a double to score Olivia Hojnacki and Analise Griffiths. This was followed up by a homerun from Anna Deshaies. Hammond led the offense with 5 hits and 3 RBIs.

Unionville - 3 Sun Valley - 4

The varsity baseball team lost a close game to visiting Sun Valley by a score of 4-3. Spencer Pellegrino went 2-4 with a run scored. Our next game is Friday at W.C. Rustin.

The Unionville Boy's Volleyball Team defeated Lower Merion in three sets Tuesday 25-21, 28-25, and 25-22. This brings the Unionville team to 3-4 in the league and 4-6 overall. Good luck U!

UHS boys varsity lacrosse

The UHS boys varsity lacrosse team defeated Downingtown West 13-12. Zach Lawrence, Drew Lenkaitis and Will Ciccarelli had 3 goals each. Jack Hoopman had 1 goal and 2 assists. Sam Shriver, John Quillman and JT Hower added 1 goal each. 
The Indians will travel to West Chester East on Thursday night.

JV baseball defeated West Chester East 2-0 behind the pitching of Peter Kuhachzuk who went 6 strong innings; Stevie DeNucci closed in the 7th to preserve the win. Next game is home Wednesday vs. Sun Valley.

Unionville Varsity softball beat West Chester East by a score of 3-2. Unionville was led by Grace Salisbury, 3 hits and an RBI and Olivia Hojnacki had 2 hits and an RBI. Taylor Crittenden pitched all 7 innings for Unionville.

The varsity baseball team won 2-0 vs. W.C. East behind pitcher Brady Horne, who threw a complete game shut out. Horne also went 2-3 at the plate. Joe Zubillaga also went 2-3 wit ha RBI. Mike Papiernik hit a double. The Indians played outstanding defense in the field with Zubillaga, Theron Schilling, Jason Moore and Nick Samulewicz coming up with huge play in the field. Our next game is Wednesday at home vs. Sun Valley.

9th grade baseball

The UHS 9th grade baseball team won a close game, in the last inning, against Great Valley by a score of 2-1. Blake Charlton, Jake Abrams, and Patrick Keenan combined to pitch a 1 run ball game. A.J. Weaver was 1-3 with 1 RBI and had the game winning hit with the bases loaded. Our next game is Wednesday at West Chester Henderson.

track and field update

The track and field team competed at the Hoka Invitational at Henderson on Friday night.

The team was led by freshmen Cole Walkers win in the 3200.  Cole's time of 9:40.44 is the #13 time in the country for a 9th grader in 2017.

Brett Wagner qualified for districts in the 400 with a time of 50.46

Jillian Brislin also qualified for districts with a time of 2:21.35 in the 800 meter run.

The team competes at the Kennett Field Classic on Monday and will host the 14th annual Unionville Invitational this Saturday.

UHS boys varsity lacrosse hosted a clinic on Sunday to promote lacrosse to our URA youth program. Over 30 URA kids attended. We shared drills and skills with them with an emphasis on FUN.

Track and field update

The track and field team spilt their tri-meet yesterday and finished their regular season.

Erik Lapszysnki was a triple winner and Brett Wagner delivered a district 200 time to lead the boys team.

The girls were led by the 1-2 hurdle tandem and 4x4 winning relay of Lyndsay Hastings and Sophie Schenk.   Track runners Mikayla Bucci, Elizabeth Edwards, Amy Margolin and Jillian Brislin also turned in terrific performances.  

Both teams compete on riday at the Warrior Invite.

Unionville - 3 Octorara - 2

The UHS varsity baseball team beat Octorara today by a score of 3-2. Down 2-0 heading into the Indians final at bat in the 7th inning, Unionville scored 3 runs, all with 2 outs to take the lead. Peter Murphy hit a double, Brendan Barrett a single and Theron Schilling hit a double to take the lead.  Nick Samulewicz pitched a complete game on the mound for the win. Our next game is Friday at Bishop Shanahan.

UHS 9th Grade Baseball Score and Highlights from 4/18

The 9th grade baseball team lost 16-1 to Downingtown East. Dylan Blackburn was 2-3 with a double and RBI. The next game will be Thursday at home vs West Chester East.

The UHS boys varsity lacrosse team lost to Archbishop Carroll 10-9
Unionville was led in scoring by Zach Lawrence 4 goals, Jack Hoopman 2 goals & 1 assist, Will Ciccarelli 2 goals and John Quillman 1 goal. Drew Lenkaitis 1 assist. 
Unionville will travel to play Sun Valley on Thursday

Unionville - 6 Oxford - 4

The UHS varsity baseball team moved to 5-3 in ChesMont league play with a 6-4 win over Oxford. Brendan Barrett went 3-4, Joe Love went 3-4 and Mike Papiernik drove in the winning run in the top pf the 8th to give Noah Kirkland the win on the mound. Our next game is on Wednesday at Octorara.

UHS boys varsity lacrosse

The UHS boys varsity lacrosse team was defeated by Bishop Shanahan by a score of 15-2.
Unionville was led by Will Ciccarelli with 2 goals.
UHS will play at Archbishop Carroll on Monday.

Unionville vs Great Valley Softball



Unionville lost 4-2 to Great Valley. Unionville was led by Anna Deshaies who opened the game with a 2 run in the park homerun. Unionville led until the 7th inning but could not hang on.

Unionville - 9 Great Valley - 4

The UHS Indian varsity baseball team moved to 4-3 in the league with a solid win over Great Valley. After giving up 4 runs in the 1st inning, Nick Samulewicz found his groove and threw 6 innings of scoreless baseball for the win. The Indians pounded out 17 hits led by Theron Schilling who went 4-5, Joe Zubillaga went 3-3, Brendan Barrett went 3-4. Our next game is Monday at Oxford.

Unioville defeated Octorara by a score of 12-4. Unionville jumped out to an early lead and continued to hit all 7 innings. Taylor Crittenden and Maddie Frich did outstanding in the pitching circle. Deshaies led the team with 3 RBIs.
