Unionville dropped their first road game of the season tonight 8-2 to Coatesville. The game was 2-1 in favor of Coatesville going into the 5th inning. The Unionville offense was led by Amanda Panati and Analise Griffiths with two hits a piece.

The Unionville varsity baseball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 4-2 victory over visiting Coatesville. Noah Kirkland threw a complete game 1 hitter for his first win of the year. Joe Zubillaga and Theron Schilling both had 2 hits each. Our next game is Monday at home vs. Kennett.

Unionville - 7 W.C. Rustin - 6
The Unionville varsity baseball team opened up the season with a 7-6 win over W.C. Rustin. Nick Samulewicz got the win on the mound and Noah Kirkland closed the game out in the top of the 7th for the save. Kyle Lyons went 2-3 with a RBI, stolen base and 2 runs scored. Henry Goodier and Theron Schilling both had 2 RBI's.
Our next game is Wednesday at home vs. Coatesville.

The Unionville boys tennis team defeated Bishop Shanahan by a score of 7-0. They were led by the strong singles play of Tristan Bradley, Ethan Bradley, and Victor Li. Their next match is on Wednesday at Oxford. Their record is 4-0 and they have yet to drop a court.

Girls varsity ice hockey win flyers cup
The girls varsity ice hockey team won the flyers cup against West Chester East 8 -2. Led by flyers cup MVP Kaelen Speck with four goals, 1 assist. Madison Doucette with 6 points 3 goals, 3 assists. Seniors Claire Donovan Kaitlyn Anderson and Hannah Close all added points. Defensive flyers cup MVP Anna, stealth mode, Nolan defended our net and preserved the win for goalie Nina Impagliazzo. Graduations to all our Unionville girls ice hockey players for an amazing season! Go U!!!!

Girls Ice Hockey Wins League Championship!
AAA State Championships
Last week 2 wrestlers competed in the PIAA AAA Wrestling State Championship in Hershey, PA.
Caden Mareno and Tyler Mousaw.
Tyler Mousaw put together a memorable run for a Sophomore, earning 8th place and a spot on the podium.
Caden competed in one of the deepest and toughest weight classes in the state. He was eventually eliminated by the 7th place finisher.
Both wrestlers had great 2017 - 2018 seasons with lots of untapped potential still to be realized. Good luck next year in all your endeavors.

Girls' Varsity Ice Hockey Wins Semi-Finals -- Advances to Championship Game
Last night, the girls' varsity Ice Hockey Team defeated Bishop Shanahan 5-1 to advance to the league championship. After a scoreless first period, due to our amazing goalie, Mattie Robitzer who had 28 saves for he game, the girls took the ice for the second period with determination. Scoring half way through the second period, Maddison Doucette, assisted by Madison Milles, started things off. Hannah Close, and Katie Anderson, assisted by Claire Donovan, continued the scoring spree in the second period. Shanahan answered back, with a goal at the end of the second period. In the third period, Scarlet Ditoro, assisted by Madison Doucette, and Kaleen Speck put two goals away to clinch the game.
The girls play against Owen J Roberts on Monday night at Iceline at 8:45 for the league championship! GO U!

Varsity Boys Ice Hockey
Let's get flyered up!! The varsity boys hockey team won their opening round Flyers Cup game on Monday night defeating Wissahickon 9-7. Overall it was a great team effort with goals being scored by Ben Brucker, Philip Doucette, Jack McKenna and Jamie Wenzel. Their second round game is scheduled for Wednesday March 7th at Iceline against West Chester East. Puck drops at 8:45 - see U at the rink!
