UHS JV Softball v. Rustin

On 4/30, UHS JV Softball defeated Rustin 14-1, at Kelly Field.

JV Baseball

JV baseball defeated Rustin on Monday 11-4. Solid pitching by Peter Kucharczuk, Ethan Lindner and Patrick Keenan kept Rustin in check. A three run homer by Conner Shilling and Jacob Juul going 4-5 at the plate propelled the offense. Next game is Friday at D'East.

The Varsity baseball team improved to 9-4 in the league with a win over W.C. Rustin by a score of 9-2. Noah Kirkland was in command the whole day and pitched a complete game for the win. Joe Zubillaga went 2-3 with a home run and 2 RBI's. Our next game is Friday at Downingtown East.

Gold Medal Finish for 14 UHS Crew Athletes

Novice Boys and Novice Girls both brought home Gold medals from the Cooper Cup Regatta held in New Jersey this Sunday, April 29. Novice Girls rowed a 4-person boat and finished first ahead of 16 boats with a time of 6.23 for the 1,500 meter race. Novice Boys rowed an 8-man boat and finished first with a time of 4.00:60, a slim 2 seconds ahead of 2nd place. JV Boys came in 3rd in their flight, 7th of 17 boats overall. Varsity Boys came in 5th overall, just 4 seconds shy of medaling.

Next week UHS Crew will be on the Schuylkill River for the Philadelphia Championships, where they will be favored to win the Men's JV8 race, and will have a new sculling pair, seniors Jay Lehmann and Aiden Wardius.

Unionville High School Crew is a Club sport, supported by volunteers and parents, for 50+ athletes to compete in regional and national regattas. Practices take place at Newport Rowing Club and Unionville High School.  More information can be found at: https://rowurc.org

The varsity baseball team improved to 8-4 on the season with a win over Sun Valley by a score of 8-2. Zack Kennedy pitched a complete game striking out 6. Kyle Lyons went 2-3 with 2 RBI's, Theron Schilling went 3-4 sand Henry Goodier went 2-3. Our next game is Saturday at Garnet Valley.

Boys Volleyball Loses to Christopher Dock

The boys lost in a tough match against Christopher Dock last night. 0-3  The team played well and didn't give up.  Last night, we recognized our 4 seniors Blake Greenspan, Alistair Lawson, Garrett Pepper, and our amazing manager Ashley Mannello.  The boy's next match is Tuesday home against Haverford at 3:45.

JV baseball

JV baseball defeated WC East 13-11 in extra innings on Thursday. The team was down 11-9 in the top of the 7th, but rallied to tie the game and take it into extras where they scored 2 runs. Sean Matson closed out East in the bottom of the 8th to secure the win which takes the team to 7-2 on the season. Next game is Friday at Sun Valley.

Freshman Baseball

The 9th grade baseball team improved their record to 5-1 after defeating West Chester Rustin 8-5. Zach Gaza threw 6.2 innings allowing six hits and five runs. The offense was led by Stevie Thomas and Jack Beauchamp. Thomas was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Beauchamp was 2-3 with a double and a walk. Our next game is Tuesday at Downingtown West.

The Varsity baseball team lost to Bishop Shanahan by a score of 7-5. Kyle Lyons led off the game with a home run and Henry Goodier hit a 2 run home run in the 7th. Our next game is at W.C. East tomorrow.

Freshman Baseball

The 9th Grade Baseball team fell to 4-1 on the season after losing 11-8 to West Chester Henderson. The offense was led by Stevie Thomas, Jack Beauchamp, and J.J. Williams. Williams was 2-4 with a double and Thomas and Beauchamp collected three singles each. Our next game is Thursday at home versus West Chester Rustin on the 8th Grade Baseball Field.

T+F update

The track and field program finished their regular season yesterday.   The boys team split their two meets and were led by Brett Wagner's school record performance in the 200 meter dash of 22:19 seconds.

The girls won both ends of the dual meet to finish undefeated and as American Division Champions.    The girls team was led by seniors Amy Margolin, Mia Prantil and Hallie Weaver.

The team is hosting the 15th annual Unionville Invitational on Saturday....come on out!

Boy's Volleyball loses to Haverford 0-3

The boy's volleyball team lost to a tough Haverford team.  The scores were 30-32, 24-26, and 25-27.  Every game was close.  We need to bounce back against Lower Merion tomorrow!  Mark your calendar's, on Thursday 4/26, we are playing against Christopher Dock.  It is a 7 o'clock game!  Cheer on your boy's volleyball team! The 9th Grade Baseball team improved to 4-0 with a 22-3 victory over Sun Valley in 5 innings.  Brady Gilday threw a complete game (5 innings) striking out 4 and only allowing 1 earned run. Great offensive performance from the entire team. Our next game is tomorrow at home against West Chester Henderson on the 8th Grade Baseball field.

On Friday the Track and Field program competed at the Warrior Invitational.

The girls team was led by Amy Margolin's district qualifying time in the 100 meter dash.  And the boys team was led by Brett Wagner's district qualifying times in the 100 and 200 meter dash.

Both teams will finish their regular season at home on Monday in a tri-meet with Sun Valley and Rustin.

Freshman Baseball

The 9th grade baseball team improved their record to 3-0 after beating WC East by a score of 8-3. Scott Hansen threw a complete game allowing 1 earned run and 7 strikeouts. The offense was lead by Jack Regenye who was 1-3 with 3 runs scored and 3 stolen bases and Stevie Thomas who was 1-2 with 2 walks and 3 RBIs. Our next game is Monday at home against Sun Valley.
