9.28 JV girls soccer

The UHS JV squad took the field against visiting opponent West Chester Rustin on Wednesday evening.  It was an exciting match as two equally talented teams battled for the win in adverse weather conditions as well as surprising changes to the team lineup.  Paige Harlan stepped up for her team to play goalie in the first half after Alanna Wolfe suffered an injury from a corner kick.  Harlan and the Indians would end the first half with a 0-0 score, despite great offensive opportunities from Syd Stipa, Jenny Keglovits, and Payton Jaenisch.  Strong defensive play from game MVP Erin O'Leary helped the home team to deny Rustin a chance at the goal during the second half.  Unfortunately, the Indians walked away from the pitch without a goal and tally in the tie column of the record books with a final score of 0-0.
